Hello-
I’m sure you’ve all noticed that I’ve been….. lacking in my update consistency lately. I’m sure you’ve all also been made aware that I’m in the middle of a job hunt. What you are likely not aware of is that this week I’m also doing a rather demanding bit of contract work… and, well-
I hate not updating my comic.
I hate it more than you hate me not updating my comic. I guarantee it. But- as much as I wish I were, I’m not a machine. I need those pesky human things like sleep and food. I did myself up a schedule for this week, and came down to the fun task of choosing between putting my job search on hold, severely lowering the quality of the comic, putting the comic aside for a week, or getting less than 4 hours of sleep every night. I don’t generally do hiatuses- but path is pretty clear. You guys are awesome- I had expected at least a little hate for the neglect that I’ve shown lately, especially because I haven’t posted any kind of update to keep you guys in the loop until now. Seriously and honestly, it’s just because I’m being pulled in too many directions right now. So I’ll deal with all that other stuff and meet you on the other side of the weekend.
See you on Monday!
It’s completely understandable. Life Happens, and at times gets in the way.
Good luck! Hurry up and get a job so I can meh cumucs
Anyone who gets annoyed at not getting amazing free content as regularly as they think they deserve really needs to re-assess their priorities. Good luck with the job hunt!
As an entirely unbiased party I agree entirely!
Where’s my dose of free laugh!
*starts tickling SupSoup’s foot with a goose feather*
There you are.
*throws a nitrogen gas tank trough SupSoup’s bedroom window with a catapult, hoping that he will not perish due to:
1) Getting hit by the tank
2) Heart stroke due to too much laughing
3) Respiratory crisis due to too much laughing
4) Nitrogen gas overdose*
Good luck with the job hunt!
Good luck! Everyone goes through some rough patches from time to time.
I’d love for you to be able to do the comic *as* a job, but if you can’t, it’s entirely understandable that you must seek other means by which to feed, clothe, and house yourself.
If we hated you for being human, which is very much what allows you to be an artist as you are, we would not be the fans that love you and your work.
Take your time, and don’t stress yourself. Our entertainment is not worth more than your well-being, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this sentiment.
I look forward to your eventual return, and wish you the best in the interim.
I’d also love to do the comic as a job! If that happens, it’s probably not going to be for a while though- there’s a lot of things that I have to do before I’m in a place where that’s an option… hoarding a large pile of various moneys being one of them.
I’m not really expecting anyone to hate me- but you know how there’s always that one guy? I guess that one guy just doesn’t exist for me. Like I said, I seem to have attracted a thoroughly reasonable and understanding group of readers!
Thanks for your understanding, and your well-crafted reply. :)
You liar. Canadian don’t sleep.
No really, it’s true… and they cannot even eat ice-cream cause their constitution forbids it. :P
get your rest, crazy being ;D
Almost! We don’t sleep most of the time, but the laws of our socialist utopia require that we take off a week per month to hibernate. I regularly defy the law in this way- please don’t report me to CSIS!
Fair enough. We can be patient :)
No problem, madam. We are a body of understanding people, there are certain necessaries that one needs to survive.
Don’t worry about it. We understand that life happens, and that life is also bastard enough to put you in these positions (damn life, that is NO way to treat a lady…). These things happen.
All we can ask is that you find your way through this ASAP. Not for us, but for your own health, well-being, and financial stability. All the best :)
