I don’t care about pop vs. soda very much- but “coke” as a generic name for soft drinks is just plain wrong. It’s an interesting topic that tends to breed oddly intense debates though.
Pop.

Oh, and I upped the amount of nested comments allowed to the maximum (10), just for Kjh242. Hopefully it doesn’t break my template, or transform into a block of text that can be only one word wide.

Soda! How did it even “devolve” into the 2 groups anyway?
I suspect that the two terms branched off from “Soda Pop.” Some people shortened it to “pop” and some to “soda”.
We’ve been through this, RT.
Soda. Don’t make me come up there.
It’s pop, damnit!
Now who’s the true masterdebator of soda & pop?
How about just calling it a “soft drink” and never make a comic about it ever again?
Sort of like sprinkles vs. jimmies? (GTFO, confetti)
Or you can use the fancy term. Carbonated Beverages.
Or you could call it Coke. LIKE YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO. THAT’S RIGHT, I WENT THERE. FEAR THE PERSUASIONAL ABILITIES OF THE GREAT AND POWERFUL AND TEXAN KJH242!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Though I usually call it soda.
Also, OOOH improved comment stacking and a shout-out (sort of)! How exciting! Can’t wait to abuse the ever-loving **** out of it. Evil laugh.
And of course, as soon as the stack limit is 10, the very debatable comics stop coming.
In the East coast we call it tonic. :)
Soda is a flavor and so is Cola, Coke is a brand.. XD
I still don’t know where pop comes from, other than the sound a can makes. XD
Pop? Never heard anyone use that one… Sound silly to be honest.
Digestives?
