This happens every time I have candy.
Through tremendous mental discipline, I have managed to train myself to NOT eat all the candy I have. Because of this, I don’t buy candy unless it’s on post-holiday sale- I have it at home already. Adam however, still belongs to the “eat ALL the candy” camp so I have to squirrel away a hidden stash or I’ll be candyless. ):
This is remarkably similar to my husband and I. Except I’M the one sniffing around when I hear a crinkly candy wrapper. :/
I keep buying candy whenever the mood strikes, and then; then I never ever eat it and have drawers and closet shelves full of candy that is delicious and that I have failed to have eaten. Just looking around my room now, I have an almost full (and melted then resolidified) bag of York Pieces, a quarter bag of York Peppermint patties, another half bag in the freezer (another casualty that melted and has been resolidified), another bag of York Peppermint patties on the top closet shelf, my backpack has about a quarter bag of York Pieces, a box of Wonka’s Bottle Caps, with an additional boxo n the top shelf, almost an entire roll of chocolate Necco wafers, two bags of Sour Patch Watermelons, a bag of chewy Jolly Rancher Sour Bites, about half a bag of Root Beer barrels, and I’m not even sure where my Jelly Beans have gone. So I guess I do eat my candy, but it takes more than a year to get through it, and I certainly buy it much more quickly than that.
Oh, and I still have part of my bag of rootbeer jelly beans that I bought more than a year ago. I can see it on my desk. I eat maybe 3 jelly beans from that bag a week.
