Oh! I figured out my facebook link problem! The text Facebook displays with links is either the meta description, or failing that the first 120 characters in paragraph tags. Since some of my shorter blog posts are less than 120 characters (example: this one before the line) it was lifting up my google ad code- since it’s a text widget, which is automatically put into paragraph tags in wordpress. SO. I can either write longer blog posts, or make a catch-all meta description for the site. Hmmph. I wonder if there’s a plugin that automatically duplicates your first paragraph of post content into a meta tag, and how much it will mess up my site. Check it out, when I post this link to facebook it’ll skip the first sentence because it’s too short!
