I’m pretty sure that in my unwillingness to look up reagent effects on the internet I’ve ingested enough poisonous substances in skyrim to actually kill myself several times over. The cursed potions masters won’t have the last laugh though. I’m taking as many of my poisonous goodies as I can right out of their coffers. >:l
So true, but i actually found a recipe on paper in the game.
You can also try mixing them with other random stuff till you get an effect match. That way, no pain, gain!
I can’t seem to keep track of which ones I’ve mixed before.
The game keeps track of which ones you’ve mixed. If you pick one ingredient, the ones you’ve already tested and failed on will be grayed out. If you pick a second it will either tell you “unknown effect”, which means you haven’t tried it, OR it will tell you the name of the potion these two will create when combined. Super easy, really.
I haven’t tried this: http://awkwardzombie.com/index.php?page=0&comic=010410
But it probably says a lot about those games.
Whenever I get weighed down by my items, I eat all the alchemy ingredients in my inventory.
For some bizarre reason I drew the line at looking up recipes in Skyrim, no matter how many times I used FAQs for other things. It’s weird what things seem like cheating and what things don’t.
